Senior Interior Designer/Architect – High End Private Cinema

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer/Architect to join us at our headquarters, located in Auburn*, California.

Details:

Position is full time. Compensation based on experience. Keith Yates Design offers health insurance, dental, vision, life, employer matching SIMPLE IRA, vacation and sick time.

Requirements:

  • Professional degree and 7+ years professional experience as an Interior Designer or Architect with exposure to residential Interiors in particular
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English- any other language is an asset
  • Strong conceptual and design skills
  • Ability to guide development of design options in collaboration with the design team
  • Strong knowledge and interest in sourcing the best interiors products in the American and international market
  • Build and maintain effective supplier and contractor relationships to ensure progress and the highest standards of work
  • Ability to prepare models, technical drawings and details as they relate to the project
  • Experience in construction administration, coordinating and liaising with consultants and tradesmen
  • Experience in furniture and millwork design; great knowledge of Interiors details, millwork drawings and FF&E
  • Ability to produce and manage budgets, cost plans, programs and timelines
  • Strong high-end residential experience
  • Should have strong ability with Rhino, Revit (Adobe Suite & V-Ray is a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills, good management of junior team members, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and budget time
  • Candidates must feel comfortable in a creative, complex and dynamic environment
  • Experience working in a leading American or international interiors and/or architectural office is preferred
  • Proven record of the above responsibilities as demonstrated through portfolio and past work
  • AIA / NCIDQ membership and working towards professional licensure considered assets

*Within 6 months, this office plans to relocate towards the Roseville, California area.
